Allergies
Seasonal allergies, hay fever, and allergic rhinitis are immune reactions to airborne allergens such as dust mites, mold spores and pollen causing itchy eyes, sneezing and congestion. Many herbs have long been valued in traditional practice for their association with immune and respiratory comfort. Although more beneficial to start consuming before the hay fever season starts, you can still get relief over the summer months.
Anti-allergy herbs such as Chamomile and Nettle may help support a balanced immune response.
Anti-catarrhal and decongestant herbs such as Elderflower, Eyebright and Plantain may help with a runny nose and streaming eyes.
Lymphatics such as Cleavers, Goldenrod and Marigold may help support clear and comfortable airways.
May ease sore and itchy eyes by bathing them with a cold brew of Chamomile due to its antihistamine properties.
This tea is also delicious cold over ice for those hot days.
