Kidney Stones
Kidney stones may be either uric acid or calcium phosphate/oxalate. Compounds in urine within the kidney, crystallise and form stones which are extremely painful. There is a good chance of having them again if you’ve had them once.
Whilst larger stones may require medical intervention, there are herbs to support the movement of smaller stones and prevent reoccurrence:
Demulcents such as Marshmallow and Plantain are historically valued for their soothing and comforting properties.
Anti-inflammatory Yarrow well regarded in herbal tradition for supporting comfort alongside demulcent herbs.
Antilithics such as Stone Root is historically associated with supporting urinary tract health and comfort.
