Indigestion
Indigestion (also called dyspepsia) can involve nausea, a feeling of fullness, bloating, belching, or a burning sensation in the upper abdomen. Many herbs have been traditionally used to support indigestion by soothing the stomach, supporting bile flow, calming spasms, heartburn and reducing wind.
Carminatives such as Chamomile, Dill, Lemon Balm, Fennel and Peppermint may help to reduce bloating, wind, burping and gurgling.
Antacids such as Meadowsweet may help regulate acid secretion.
Demulcents such as Marshmallow, Plantain and Slippery Elm may sooth the oesophagus and stomach lining.
Anti-inflammatories such as Calendula,Chickweed, Lady’s Mantle and Chamomile are historically associated with supporting comfort and ease in the digestive tract.
