Cystitis

Cystitis is a painful bladder infection that can leave people loathe to frequently urinate due to the burning sensation it causes. In severe cases, there maybe blood passed with back and leg pain.

Herbs long associated with urinary comfort and support include:

Antispasmodics such as Valerian and Cramp Bark may help ease the sensation of needing to urinate frequently and support comfort during painful episodes.

Diuretics such as Dandelion Leaf or Couch Grass are historically associated with supporting comfort and cooling ease in the bladder and urinary tract.

Anti-inflammatories such as Marshmallow or Corn Silk have been historically valued for supporting comfort and cool ease in the urinary tract.

Antimicrobials such as Goldenseal and Barberry have a long history of use for supporting urinary tract health and kidney comfort.

Astringents such as Yarrow, Agrimony and Nettle traditionally associated with supporting bladder wall integrity, and Horsetail, long valued for its toning properties in the urinary tract.

Bacteria adherence interference herbs such as Bilberry, Goldenseal or Cranberry may prevent bacteria from adhering to bladder wall.
